And you'll have fun and get many a chuckle as you deny the squirrels. <br /><br />First things first though, lets look at the nuts and bolts. The Yankee Flipper is a generous 4-3/4 inches in diameter and it stretches out to 21 inches long, so the large capacity it holds will allow you plenty of rest between refills. The length also prevents your unwanted furry guests from hanging down from the top of the feeder and reaching the bird seed.<br /><br />Ok, now it's time for the fun stuff! The Yankee Flipper earned it's name by actually flipping squirrels right off of the feeding tray. The secret is the encased motor and some batteries (rechargeable and replaceable). The motor runs the weight activated perch ring. The perch ring is set so that feeding birds will not trigger it to go off. <br /><br />But when an uninvited squirrel hops onto the perch, the feeder begins spinning and the squirrel gets a quick whirl before gently being thrown from the feeder.
